Next for me was the ceiling. My primary aim was to get the spot lights in place to reduce my bill for when I have the electrics sorted (which for me is a professional job).
First remove the ceiling.
This was actually pretty easy. Mine was made of two panels. Each slipped into the cross beams of the ceiling and then fixed into place by these trim clips. To get the clips out I used as small electric hand screwdriver with a hexagonal bit.
I always go with warm lights, I find “cold” and “natural” to be far too clinical for my taste. I bought VASCO – Very Bright LED Light Under Cabinet Shelf Cupboard – Kit / Set and fitted them with a dimmer switch.
