Now, I didn’t have space for a large sink, nor did I think I needed it. The main think I wanted a sink for was to wash my hands while cooking and washing my face and hands before putting on make up and my contact lenses in.
I chose to make my own sink out of a melanin bowl which I found to be aesthetically pleasing. I housed a 5l jug in the cupboard directly below for waste water and a second behind the “bulkhead” units to hold the fresh water. This is reached via the cupboard.
Whale Submersible Water Pump 10 Litre (12v)
A basic set up, I used a whale pump hooked up to a single cold water flow tap. It worked well, although it wouldn’t have been big enough for anything more than I had originally intended. To do more, such as washing dishes I use a collapsible bowl or site facilities.
Unfortunately, it has been a long time since I put the sink together and I have lost a lot of the links/details. But here are a couple pictures of the set up.
