If you are looking for treasure I would recommend Stanford Hall VW festival in North Leicestershire.   There are lots of spare parts stalls and shopping, although I must admit there were more classic spare parts and retro items for sale than anything else (vans and beetles).

A friendly atmosphere of real enthusiast makes this a really relaxed event.  This is not an event focused on music, shows or activities.  Instead it focuses on the show vehicles, spare parts and shopping.  Camping is in a large field next to the main event, there are clean portaloos and you are allowed to take food and drink onto site, which is a great benefit.

There are plenty of VWs old and new, but the classic beetles stole the show when I was there.
